Appalachian Voices and the Southern Environmental Law Center sponsored the documentary film “Not On This Land: The Fight Against the Atlantic Coast Pipeline.” The premiere film screening was on Wednesday evening, April 12, 2023 at the Buckingham Community Center in Dillwyn. The next night, April 13, it was shown at the Paramount Theatre in Charlottesville.
Directed by Christopher Landry, the film showcases stories of impacted community members who fought against and helped defeat the fracked-gas Atlantic Coast Pipeline. Below is a trailer to the film. After the screening, organizers held a moderated panel discussion about the Atlantic Coast Pipeline, featuring community leaders profiled in the film.
