Presenters: Joe Lovett, Executive Director of Appalachian Mountain Advocates
Isaac Howell, expert on Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)
Kirk Bowers, Chair of Pipeline Committee, Sierra Club VA Chapter
The presenters will provide information specifically on the Transatlantic Coast Pipeline project proposed by Dominion Resources.
Presentations will include:
- An overview: environmental, safety and health risks, and economic impact on our community;
- Information on our legal rights;
- Instruction on how to proceed with FERC as well as other government agencies involved in regulating natural gas distribution; advice on organizing locally and with other groups advocating in Virginia and West Virginia.
Question and answer session will follow the presentation. While their presentation is free, donations to fund their work as a non-profit are appreciated.
