The Friends of Buckingham regrets to inform you that our dear Ruby Laury passed away earlier today. John, her husband, just called the Past President, Chad Oba, to let her know and to pass on to you all. She will be deeply missed.

Ruby was a member of our Friends of Buckingham council and a stalwart defender of our Union Hill neighborhood during the Atlantic Coast Pipeline campaign. She always showed up, spoke out even when it was not within her comfort zone, and she \opened the church, where she served as deaconess,  to many meetings throughout the years. She will be forever missed.
